Cell誌から撤回：「アルツハイマー病患者の皮膚線維芽細胞を機能的な神経細胞に直接変換」

以前の本ブログでとりあげた「アルツハイマー病患者の皮膚線維芽細胞を機能的な神経細胞に（iPS細胞を介さず）直接変換」という記事の元論文がCell誌から撤回（retracted）されていました（Cell誌のサイトをみる）。

以下は、その説明からの抜粋です。

Dr. Ryousuke Fujita, who was specifically and only responsible for the molecular analyses of Alzheimer’s-associated pathology, has acknowledged inappropriately manipulating image panels and data points, as well as misrepresenting the number of repeats performed, in the experiments presented in Figures 6 and 7 of the paper (and corresponding Figures S5 and S6).

ということで、リュウノスケ　フジタという日本人的な名前の著者がデータのねつ造をしていたようです。Cell誌に論文を掲載するために無理をしたようです。悲しい事です。
